BONUS! Because of the generosity of the Arts Council of Moore County, each student who attends the Master Class will receive free concert tickets for themselves and those members of their family that wish to attend Lun Li’s performance in Southern Pines on the evening of March 22nd!*
*Monday’s concert ticket supplies are limited and will be given on a first come basis until supplies run out, so register for the Master Class early to provide the best opportunity of free tickets.
Lun Li is a native of Shanghai, China, he won First Prize at the 2021 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, also receiving the Paul A. Fish Memorial Prize, the Buffalo Chamber Music Society Prize, and the John French Violin Chair at YCA.
As a concerto soloist, Lun has appeared with the Tokyo Symphony, Kyoto Symphony, Osaka Symphony, Bangor Symphony, Riverside Symphony at Alice Tully Hall, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, and orchestras across the U.S., including the Kennett Square Symphony, Meridian Symphony, Brevard Philharmonic, Aiken Symphony, University of South Carolina Symphony, Salisbury Symphony, Colgate University Orchestra, Salina Symphony, and McCall Summer Festival Orchestra.
Lun holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, and both a Master of Music and an Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School, where he served as teaching assistant to Catherine Cho. His principal mentors include Ida Kavafian, Catherine Cho, and Joseph Lin. He performs on the 1735 Stradivarius “Samazeuilh,” generously on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.

Interested in auditioning to perform in the Master Class?
Please submit a 3 min. video of your playing to admin@soundbiteschoolhouse.com. All videos must be submitted by November 30th 2026. Three players will be chosen. (Class performers will be guaranteed four concert tickets.)
Performers will be expected to perform a work for unacompanied violin for the Master Class, but can submit any work they feel best displays their abilities for the audition video.
Violinist ages 1 to 100 may apply!
